Welcome to Fight Club
Can your ideas survive the night?
Red Badger HQ - 2 Old Street Yard, London EC1Y 8AF
23rd of June
06:00-08:00pm: beers, pizza and ideas
When we all met at One Club Row we thought about finding the time and space to run a full session on one or two ideas.
This is it. Our experimental event where real ventures face real scrutiny. Venture builders bring their idea and we'll help pull it apart, test it, and shape the hypothesis that will build something worth building.
What happens on the night
1. Pitch the real thing
No polished narratives. Bring the idea you're wrestling with, the one you haven't fully figured out yet. That's the point.
2. Decompose it into hypotheses
Working with Mark and the room, we break the idea down. Who does this serve, what behaviour changes, what are you actually betting on?
3. Stress-test every assumption
We get to ask the awkward questions. Not to kill the idea, but to find what's worth saving. Constructive, specific, and without mercy.
4. Find the 'aha' moment
The goal is to reach the moment where vague conviction becomes something you can see, measure, and decide on. The core where real venture building starts.
5. Define an experiment new
If the idea survives, we don't stop there. We spend time designing the experiment: the smallest, fastest test that tells you whether you're right.
Bring a hypothesis or come and watch -either way, leave with something real.

The framework behind it
The session runs on the method from Mark Bjornsgaard's book What's the Because? which provides a systemised approach to breaking any idea down into a single, testable hypothesis. One Because. One Someone. One Will.
It's the difference between an idea you believe in and one you can actually prove.
Mark Bjornsgaard

As a serial zero-to-one intrapreneur and entrepreneur with 6 successful exits he is best known for founding Deep Green - a business sold to Octopus in 2023.
