We are thrilled to announce that Red Badger is sponsoring the 'Individual' category at the OpenUK Awards 2024. The awards celebrate the exceptional contributions of individuals within the Open Technology ecosystem, recognising those who have made significant impacts through their work in open source software, open hardware, open data, or open standards and innovation.
Nominations are now open for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding work in the Open Technology space. This category honours those who have gone above and beyond, offering unique contributions to projects or communities. Whether through project leadership, coding, documentation, artwork, support, promoting awareness, good governance, or encouraging open practices by others, this award covers the full range of contributions.
The judges will be looking for novel contributions that push the boundaries of the state of the art. They will also consider the adoption and impact of the projects, as well as the collaborative and community-driven nature of the work, regardless of whether it is commercial or not. The evaluation will focus on the value and impact of these contributions, ranking them accordingly.
To be eligible, individuals nominated must have been residents of the UK for the entire preceding 12 months. This ensures that the awards celebrate local talent and the contributions made within the UK.
Red Badger is proud to support the OpenUK Awards and to help shine a light on the incredible individuals who are driving forward the Open Technology ecosystem. We encourage everyone to nominate those who have made a significant impact, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements at the awards ceremony.
