Rebecca Glassby, a long-standing leader within Red Badger, has relocated to South Africa to lead Red Badger’s Strategic Hub in Cape Town.

Rebecca GlassbyThe move marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy, introducing a "blended team" model designed to provide clients with world-class talent and enhanced commercial flexibility.

The expansion follows 18 months of successful pilot programs in the "Silicon Cape”, and she lands in an already rapidly expanding Red Badger SA team, located in Century City, the premier business and technology precinct in Cape Town.

Rebecca’s presence will ensure the company’s unique culture and technical standards are seamlessly transplanted.

Strategic Advantages of the Blended Model

The decision to expand into South Africa was driven by several strategic factors:

  • Seamless Integration: With only a 1-2 hour time difference and a strong cultural affinity with the UK, Capetonian "Badgers" act as fully integrated members of client teams.

  • Talent Growth: Red Badger is focused on creating new roles in Cape Town, tapping into a new market of highly skilled technology, product and back office talent.

  • Long-term Stability: The blended model allows Red Badger to remain competitive throughout the entire lifecycle of a client engagement, ensuring long-term partnership stability for large-scale digital transformations.

"Cape Town is a vibrant, diverse city with an incredible pool of critical thinkers and technical talent. By building a permanent presence here, we aren't just outsourcing tasks; we are growing the ‘Badger’ culture globally. Our clients will receive the same high-quality, integrated experience they expect from us, but with the added resilience and competitive edge that a dual-location model provides."
